About us
Gill’s Grandfather, William
Homer probably started off the family tradition in floristry.
Selling traditional holly wreaths on the footpath in front of
86 Rose Green Road – something Gill still does to this
day.
Her formal education in flower arranging was at what is now
Chichester College, Brinsbury Campus and in 1992 Gill was awarded
certificates for her achievements.
Flair and talent is what it is all about and many friends and
acquaintances have recognised Gill’s skill and asked her
to do their wedding flowers even before her formal training.
The practical aspects of floristry were leant by working in
several florist shops in the area, so Gill is able to relate
well to what local people need and the high standard they expect.
Since Gills Flowers formally started
in April 2004 she has been assisted by husband, Albert who gets
involved with deliveries, taking orders, making bits of hardware
and other activities. Albert lived in Australia for about 35
years as you may detect from his accent and has been trying,
with some limited success, to grow Australian plants here in
Bognor Regis.
